They really did a shitty job casting the first "The Wolf Man".

I'll put aside that Lon Chaney Jr. was a horrible actor. How the hell did he get to be anything more than an extra in any movie?

My big problem is with the casting of Claude Raines as Lon Chaney's father in the movie. For one, Claude would have been about 16 when Chaney's character was born. For two, Chaney was about 6-7 inches taller than Raines. Unless his mom was in the circus or the WNBA that shit isn't happening.

Nothing new there, re Bush clan.

However, any high school principal can testify that sixteen year old boys are quite capable of reproduction. Plus, Raines was born looking middle aged. As for children being taller than their parents, my brother was six inches taller than our father and I was 4 inches taller than my mother.
