my life didn't turn around until i had to start wearing suits
and then people started to take me more seriously.

the halcyon days of wearing shorts and sandals ALL the time had finally come to an end.

2. Suits, suits, what will I do with those old suits?
After being retired for ten years I look at the far end of the closet at the suits in their garment bags. I consider just how little I miss the need to conform by wearing them. I don't wear sandals & shorts all of the time, I am more of a bib overall & birk's kind of guy. Of course, the great part of being older and retired is wearing what you what, when you want. I have often thought that lederhosen and an aloha shirt would be a great combo, perhaps with over-the-calf argyle golf-knicker socks & Birk's? At least that mode of dress should guarantee no unwanted conversation with strangers!

:silly:

4. That's the beauty of getting older...
one cares less and less about fashion and the want to conform to social norms slowly vanishes.

I have always wondered what society would look like if we all lived to 1000 years.

3. Funny. I got the same results by wearing the kilt.
But then, I DO have the legs for it...

5. I get treated totally differently when I wear a nice suit.
It is amazing how hung up on images the world is.

I get treated with deference, those people not realizing it is nothing but a masquerade.
