iTouch or iPhone?

Hey all, long time no see. Well, I've been lurking a lot lately. Anyway, hope everyone is well here.

So I have a dilemma and I hope to get some advice and insight from my favorite group of latte' drinkin liberal elites.

I'm thinking about getting either an iTouch or an iPhone since I've been traveling a lot lately and would rather have my internet connection small enough to fit easily in a purse. And the price has come down to where I can finally justify buying one. I don't really need a new phone yet, but my current phone is getting pretty old and I'll have to replace it sooner or later. I'll be using it mostly for internet stuff (news, email, research, etc.), not so much for music or movies. I would like to be able to do document retrieval and word processing on it as well... but don't know if either device supports that type of thing.

So...any advantage to one over the other?

Thanks!

2. My husband has both.
His company bought him the Iphone way after he had the Itouch. The Itouch does all the same things except it doesn't have a camera or the phone part, so if you are satisfied with your phone, just go with the touch.

6. Thanks, good to know.

I like my existing camera better than any phone camera (so far), so yeah the iPhone camera isn't really a draw for me, and like I said I don't really need a new phone yet. Then again, it's soooo tempting to consolidate everything (camera, phone, internet) into one gizmo. Decisions, decisions. :/ Ha ha, poor me. :)

:hi:

3. Those screens look so small to me. I'd need one of these as an accessory
