Has anyone tried hypnotism to kick a habit?

My BIL used it successfully to quit smoking over 10 years ago and hasn't had a smoke since. I need to break my sugar habit - chocolate. I need some help.

1. One of my best friends quit smoking with Hypnotism

She pretty much quit the first time for about 4-5 months and then a very close family member passed away and she started again. She gave herself the summer to enjoy smoking and then went back to the hypnotist again. Hasn't touched cigarettes for about 3 years now.

I'm just wondering if it works for the "chocolate jones."

4. I considered doing it but he said it takes more than 1 visit

and at the time I didn't have the money to put out for more than 1 visit.

3. I stopped smoking three times with hypnotism,

worked every time. I walked out a non smoker. I started again many years later.

Did the one on one thing and once the group thing.

It didn't work for me. I waited until I got cancer to quit.

but I don't think it worked.

it wasn't to quit smoking, tho. it was just relaxation at first. I thought it was like the end of a yoga session.

my mind kept talking to me too much. I don't know if I was hypnotized or not.
