I have a question about cat spraying

I hope this doesn't get locked. It is a real question and I am fairly upset about the situation.

Well first the cat brought in a bird again, (and I know that is bad because they are killing off the bird population. Any ideas on how to stop it would be greatly appreciated).

And then when I went into the bathroom this morning what looked like diarrhea was on the bathroom mirror and on the bathroom sink cabinet and even down the front of the bathroom cabinet.

I have one male cat who is neutered and one female who is spayed. They both go outside through the dog door but hang out around the few houses around me which are all pet friendly. I know some people say not to let your cats out but it is good for one important reason and that is to keep the shedding down in the house.

Anyway I am meandering. Does a cat spray only come in clear color? I am trying to find out what that stuff was and what I can do about it. I also would love some information besides the cat is giving you a present to keep the cat from bringing birds.
