How stupid does a person have to be
to not know that if you have to sign in upon access to a place you also need to sign out before you leave?

This happens here ALL.THE.TIME. I hate the fucking moronic inhabitants of this state. :eyes:

1. I went to the social security office
here and had to sign in. It seemed to be quite heavily guarded, but I didnt realize I was signing in for access. When I left I walked out and a guard chased me down to come sign out.

Their sign clearly stated, Sign in upon arrival, but never mentioned signing out upon departure.

I guess I am a moron, too.

2. Signing in is always so
Edited on Thu Apr-08-10 12:01 PM by hippywife
security or whoever can know who is or was in the building at any given time.

I just can't ever remember for whatever reason even having to be told to also sign out. I would especially expect this in a federal office.

4. I guess I'm stupid too
Having never worked in a building with security, it probably wouldn't occur to me that was the reason. I've always thought of signing in as a way for them to keep track of who was waiting to be called.

3. I don't think that's stupid. Some places you don't do that. LIke when you go to a doctor's office

you sign in, then they cross you off.

7. My bank does that, too. And in Education it's all signing in and little signing out.
Sometimes it's for a waiting list and sometimes its just for a headcount.

5. Where do you have to sign out?
I've signed in at places but I've never been told to sign out before.

6. I think a lot of people do that, actually
I always forget when I'm leaving a school, for work purposes, unless someone reminds me.

And I consider myself to be fairly intelligent.

8. Okay, let me explain further.
This is a retirement community where visitors enter at the front of the building and are asked to be signed in while they are in the building.

Capice?

Sorry, I'm having a really cranky day.
