My Cajun father-in-law taught me how to gather oysters and shrimp. It ain't easy, but it's very rewarding. He also taught me how to build fences, drive a tractor, harvest and windrow hay, and make wine. And we had 'who-can-eat-the-most-hottest-jalapenos' contests. (I let him win.) :-)
My also Cajun mother-in-law taught me a lot about growing tomatoes and a lot of other garden stuff. Hell of a cook, which very happily rubbed off on Miz t. :-) :-) :-)
She lived with us for the last year of her life. And that was good.
