When I broke up with my ex, my Mother bought me a thunderbird
she doesn't remember. Who doesn't remember spending a 1000.00 on your adult child? She's a freeper, but she's pretty cool.

3. When I broke up with MY ex...
.
...I needed more like $20,000 of Miller Lite. And
MiddleFingerMomMom didn't spring for a single
six-pack of it.
.
I hope either $1000.00 or "a Thunderbird" is a
typo -- that stuff's like $1.89 a bottle, innit?
.

4. Where the word is Thunderbird...
And Heaven's a drink of wine
He'll bring your soul in from the cold
If you can spare the time

6. When I left my ex-husband, my parents
sent me a check to cover the security deposits for rent and utilities on my own place, along with a note that said without saying so, "We told you so when you were 20. Go be happy now."

7. VERY nice.
.
If they're still around, you should hug them out of the blue
for that, and when they ask why... just say "Thanks" without
any further explanation.

8. That's what I do.
That's the only time in my adult life I've really needed my parents' help and they stepped up without me asking and did it in a very gentle way. I absolutely have the best parents on earth. Very, very lucky, me.
