Multicat households: do your cats team up to do stuff? |
|
Mine do, and it's starting to freak me out. Case in point: Evie has long been able to push the bedroom door open to go rack out on the bed. Quark's not allowed in the bedroom without human supervision because he tends to hose down the landscape (territorial issues).
In the last couple of weeks, I've seen (several times) Evie push the door open and *walk away*, with Q-Ball two feet behind her and to her right so we can't spot him easily. Next thing we know, Quark is on the bed or staring out the window. It's freaky.
They're working in pairs like crabs, I'm tellin' ya. :P

3. Yeah, that's the most obvious team ploy |
|
Quark jumps on the window sill, cracking the curtains open. Then Socrates starts the high-drama meowing. Then Plato does the meerkat on the edge of the bed platform and pops his head right next to me.
I can't wait til June when they perform the above annoyance sequence at 4:30 in the morning. :eyes:

6. I get the cats teaming up |
|
they're fairly intelligent animals, so it wouldn't surprise me.
I've only ever had one cat at a time, so I haven't seen it myself.
If I can just get the wife to agree to those 2 kittens I want...
Crabs? I wouldn't think they'd be smart enough to coordinate.

7. Our only team up to groom each other |
|
It's so sweet to watch them lick each others fur and then fall back asleep.
