zynga really started pissing me off with some of their tactics, though

if you really want to get a large mafia, join on of those facebook groups for getting 500. If you don't want to do that with your real account (and who does), make a gaming account. It's what i did, so i wouldn't have a bunch of friends i didn't know on my real account

Mafia Wars, Farm Town, Farmville, whatever...my better half just quit Facebook because of all this crap after complaining that half the posts she sees are about these games.

or what gifts they need. I used to take a peek into my lady's Facebook account and wonder how she put up with it. She finally lost her patience. She was getting 10-15 invitations per week to join someone's Mafia or build a farm. Hiding the apps isn't enough when your patience wears thin.
