citrus irritates their olfactory and visual senses - they don't like oranges.
They're also averse to orange-colored thongs, by the way - little known fact - on the grounds that they believe that orange-colored thongs make their rear regions look significantly larger than they actually are.
They don't like Wayne Newton, either. Or Marilyn Manson.

Abalone! I've haddock with you! Always with the groaners. We've got to get you in a 12-step grouper something. That last one really smelt.
