Just got reamed by the IRS and state. Oh, well. |

Well, not really. My wife had some wages without taxes being withheld. It's a family business and it had to pay her late a few times and it did not withhold taxes then. So naturally we owe the taxes on that income. Still, it sure feels like we're being reamed. Yeah, I know, we're not being treated unfairly and there's a lot of people who would like to have enough income to be taxed on it. That doesn't mean I have to like it.
OTOH, I don't think the world revolves around what I personally like or don't like, so I won't be running off to join a tea party just yet. That's probably the difference between liberals and conservatives. Liberals see the big picture while conservatives (especially American conservatives) only care about how something affects them. It's a geocentric rather than egocentric view of the world.
Bye, cash! Hope you do more good than harm. :hi:

1. Being self-employed, I can commiserate. |

I really have to pay close attention toward the end of the year, as it is a close thing between spending the money to upgrade my physical plant, pre-pay some larger anticpated expenses, or end up writing a gasp-inducing check for taxes.
I learned that the hard way, a few years ago when I lost track of gross revenue, and didn't spend enough before the end of the year.
Ouch.
