The DU muchly-loved/muchly-hated KFC Double Down...
.
was SUPPOSED to be a limited-run item -- ending today.
.
It has done SO well (the article I read this week said
TWELVE million "sandwiches" -- the best ever product
initiation for KFC) that they are going to keep it on the
menu as long as the demand is out there for it.
.
.
.
So... have you tried it yet?
.
.
I have not... right now even dollar menus would be a
splurge for me.
.
.
.
But I WANT to.
.
.
.
.
I want to REAL bad.
.
.
.
.
.

1. It was fairly tasty, but messy to eat.
The downside is there's no good way to put condiments on it. I'd like some mustard or something, but where can you put it?

2. Loved it. Took a day off from my 1300 calorie a day diet just to see what the hate was all about.
Loved it Loved it Loved it. Extra Crispy. Didn't gain a single pound.

In fact, I've lost 10 lbs since I ate it. Again, that's due to the diet and exercise.

3. Taking a big break (and a big bite)...
.
...from your diet actually helps, I think.

4. When I was body building
Once a week, every sunday, I would walk to DQ and get a blizzard. Never interfered with my routine and diet at all.

5. The thought of KFC just makes me want to puke, but that makes me want to projectile vomit.

6. It was actually pretty good...
Needs bread, though.

7. Not for me, sorry.
KFC gives me bad heartburn and farts that cause cancer.

Except for the biscuits... Those are yummy. :9

8. It is really very small, and a bit expensive for what you get, but...
other than that I liked it. One could, of course be hopelessly the geek and bring two burger buns from home to make it easier to eat. Taking it home and toasting two English muffins is another idea, slightly less geeky, and far less public.

Chicken, cheese and bacon-- what's not to like? But, I will not get another one for a while only because of the question of value-- fast food should be cheap.

I have noticed in the various discussions here that everyone who hates it has never tried it and usually has something nasty to say about KFC-- making their opinions completely useless, irrelevant, and a complete waste of electrons. Those who have admitted trying it have all liked it, unless I missed the one or two outliers who tried it and puked. If there were any.

Things will get better, and when you have around 5 bucks burning a hole in your pocket, get one and make up your own mind.
