I have access to a free beach house and no one to go with.
So sad.

I really didn't plan anything this weekend - some of my friends were going to be out of town so I thought I'd keep it local and do work around the house. And now I have an empty beach house I could use. I'm debating if I should go or not.

10. Yeah; go for it!
It can be fun to be away from 'it all' in a different environment. I love my 'alone time'...and to do it at a nice beach-house would be heaven!

12. I say take the trip! Sometimes there's nothing better than time alone
to do mental inventory and re-center yourself. And those solitary walks on the beach in very early morning; just wonderful.

16. Why do you need anyone to go with you?
Edited on Thu May-27-10 07:36 PM by RFKHumphreyObama
Think of it this way -you have a whole beach house to yourself and you can do anything you choose to. Quiet time and solitude are things to be cherished. I say go and enjoy yourself!

21. Any other weekend, I'd say "go"
But Memorial Day, July 4th and Labor Day are tough - it's not fun being alone at the beach and listening to other people having parties. If the place is relatively isolated, go for it, but if it's surrounded by other properties, maybe not...

My friend offered me her place in Avalon back when we had that warm spell in March, and I took it, even though we can't leave my dad alone, so my SO had to stay home and stay with him so I had to go down alone. I treated it like a spa visit - ate what I wanted (not Old Man food) watched what I wanted (no SyFy!) read a lot and exercised like crazy - biking, walking, etc. Brought my dad's doggie down so I wasn't really alone - had the little fellow for company.

Go Flyerzzzz!

24. Yes but I'm no where near the busy beaches in Delaware
if anything it's a very very very small beach with just a few houses. Technically it's not on the ocean, it's the last town right before the Delaware River dumps into the Ocean - so it's a mixture.

25. Then definitely go for it! It's supposed to be nice this wkend.
Think of it as a cheap spa weekend! Bring bath products and some good books.

(I was afraid you were talking about Dewey or Rehobeth)

26. Nope - those are down the road
Although there is a glitch with going down there - the cable isn't hooked up which means I would probably miss the Flyers game (and there is no internet).

I think I'd rather stay in the city than to miss the hockey game!

I miss our beach house.

Damn Hurricane Ike.

Going to our beach house was so relaxing.

I miss the sound of the waves so much.

We had great beach fires at night.

Have fun and just go.
