I have been watching Ken Burns Civil War on netflix.

I forgot how good the show was.

1. Don't go to Ford Theater.
You'll be safe. :D

He certainly looked a lot older than 56, didn't he?

8. Plus the death of his son, Willie in 1862.
He loved his children and had already lost one, Eddy.

3. Just goes to show ya, you can get killed by an actor at any age.
Personally, I've thought I was going to suffer a swift death at the theater a few times myself.

4. I'm the same age JFK was when he took office
Try and wrap your head around what it must have been like making the decisions during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Screw up, and civilization ceases to exist.

No amount of seasoning can prepare someone for that burden.

6. I'll always be the same age as President Obama.
Well, two months older than he is.

7. Yes, but he read at the level of a 63 year old
Also, the country was only one tenth the size of the US today, population wise. So really, in today's terms it would be like becoming president at the age of 520--that's not such a big accomplishment, frankly.
