Poll question: Who is the best actress? Katherine Hepburn or Bette Davis
They never worked together but they certainly are considered two of the all-time best. Two strong-willed Yankees who went to the beat of their own drum and excelled in a mans world.

1. Hepburn.
Kate could do it all...drama, comedy. As much as I like Bette David, I think Davis was more of a dramatic actress...she didn't do many comedies (well really, none that I can think of)

Just my .10

2. Katherine Hepburn
My favorite actress of all time. Plus, she looked almost exactly like my Mom when she was young.

3. I can't choose. Certain roles could not have been switched between
these classic actresses. They were both original and talented.

4. Have to give it to Bette
Her Margo Channing was a work of art. She was a more subtle actress than Hepburn, less flashy for the most part. Watch Of Human Bondage sometime.

5. Depends on the category:
For heavy, heavy dramas, Bette Davis.

For comedy and action-type (for its time) movies, Katherine Hepburn.
