Those Star Trek: The Next Generation flicks really sucked
The original crew got great movies--The Final Frontier notwithstanding--but I honestly can't recall anything redemptive about Picard's four outings. Shouldn't I just end it with "All Good Things..."

1. First Contact I liked
*The Borg*

That Borg Queen gave me the willies!

2. First Contact was mostly good, but a few scenes make me cringe.
The scene in the bar with Deanna is terrible, and I really can't stand Worf's "Assimilate This!" action hero line.

4. The Borg stuff was cool, the rest of it was just cheese.
It was like a good Borg-arc episode jumbled together with one of the crap episodes.

I did like Worf's action hero line, though.

5. Trek movies seem to written around lines.
"Wouldn't it be cool if Character X said this?" a writer must have thought.

6. I agree: "ST VI: The Undiscovered Country" is almost unwatchable for that reason.
ST:V is terrible in its own right, of course, and ST:III is pretty bad, too, while ST:IV is a cheese-fest with a few good fan-service moments thrown in. Heck, even ST:TPM is kind of awful except for the story itself.

3. They weren't bad, problem was that Picard was a bit of a wuss.
Put Kirk in there and he'd shoot a few photon torpedoes up some Borg ass, and then get in a threesome with Troi and Crusher.

Kirk was THE MAN!

8. LOL
Is that a phaser you're holding there, Capt. Kirk, or are you just happy to see me?

7. I would say that the next gen movies were about the same
as TOS series movies. I think that First Contact and Insurrection were good and Star Trek 2 and 4 were good. The rest were meh.
