I love my instant view and one dvd for $8.99.

I watch more instant view now then tv or dvds.

1. Agreed. Netflix is the best value for an entertainment dollar I've ever gotten.
I also watch way more streaming video than dvds although I pay the extra $2 to get Blu-Ray discs so I can check them out to see if I really might like to buy a particular one.

2. I am getting blue ray player soon that can connect to Netflix.

I have discovered old and new movies and shows I would never have seen without Netflix.

The great thing about Netflix is if the instant view show or movie sucks, just watch something else.

I have caught up on my favorite tv shows.

I am cheap so I like not buy anymore dvds, unless I really like the movie or show.

3. The dvds and the Blu-Rays I buy have turned out to be just like my VHS tapes--
I watch them a time or two and then they just sit on the shelf. There are about the same half dozen that I will watch over and over again.

I have found one thing about Netflix streaming video and it's that I pull the trigger fast on something I don't find interesting while with an actual physical disc I feel like I have to try and watch it. I know with streaming I can always come back at a later date to check it out again.

4. I do that.
I am trying to check out a lot of stuff and go back later.

Watching instant view on my laptop is so cool.

5. Can I join..
please?! :7

I love Netflix. I have the 3 out at a time and instant view. I just got the disc where I can stream from play station or Wii. I like that I can watch old tv shows that I liked..like Buffy/Angel. LOGO has started showing re-runs of Buffy, and of course I wanted more, so on to Netflix.

Many years ago, my husband and I were talking about starting a business. I suggested video rental through the internet, it went over like a fart in church. Now look... :-(

You more than get your money's worth...in my opinion.

6. Yes, welcome new member.
There is so much to watch on instant view, who needs going out to movies.

I love watching the old shows like Have Gun Will Travel.

I do not remember any of the episodes, way to young at the time.

My neighbor likes to watch all the old westerns, his kids gave him Netflix for Christmas.

7. I agree...
I rarely ever go to the movies. I can't remember the last one, it has to be about 2 years ago. Between the cost, the obnoxious kids (they hang out at the theater by my house) and the crap they call movies it's not worth it.

I like watching documentaries on instant view too, I'm the only one that really likes them so it's cool I can watch that way.

8. I am heavy into the documentaries.
My last movie was one of the Lord of the Rings.

I hate going to the movies now.

11. I really love Netflix....
Get a few DVDs by mail and instantly watch whatever I want. It's nice....if you're part way into a movie and it sucks....just find another one. :)

12. A movie or show has to catch me pretty fast now.
My attention span is very small, I blame it on the internet.

13. I love Netflix
And I love instant view. I've been able to see stuff I would never find in the theatres, and I get to see old TV shows. I do one at a time, but upgraded to Blu-ray.

Also, I've followed up on recommendations from DUers and seen good things I would never have found on my own.

15. at a guess, I would say we are missing
netflix.

Ive considered them. The instant view thing is a tempting Idea. My friend came visiting town, and brought a Wii with him, and had his netflix disc in it rather than the game he thought he had brought. the selections seemed to play with relative ease.

A few things holding me back... A quick visit to the website makes it appear to me that they are obscuring all relevant information on specifics. for one, how much will it cost. 2- i see no mention of blu-ray anywhere. do they just do DVD's? 3- their instant watch stuff- any chance of getting that in HD?

I became blu-ray capable late last year. I thought I wouldn't really notice. I mean, DVD has given me some great times. But Ive quickly become a snob. I'druther not watch plain ol DVD. If its a choice between DVD or not watch, I'll just go watch a book or post here. I don't own a Single blu-disc, and I refuse to pay $5 to rent them. And I gave away all 6 or so of the DVD's I owned. Which limits my options. Ive been watching a whole lotta book lately.

16. I found it very easy to sign on to Netflix, the first month was free.
There is a choice of options to pick from concerning the number of dvds.

Blueray dvds are a little extra but not much, I am going that way soon.

I get only one dvd at a time, thinking of going to 2 dvd for $13.

I mostly watch instant view on my laptop, which I can hook up to my tv.

The $8.99 a month is a great deal, so many things to watch.

Netflix is easy to use, just point and click.

My laptops have HD screens, great picture quality.

I think the most expensive option in something like $20, I don't need that.

It is free for one month, worth a try.

17. Here's the info:
http://www.netflix.com/HowItWorks

The 3-DVD-at-a-time plan, the most common one, is $20.99 a month for Blu-Ray (when available).

Some of the instant movies/shows are in HD, though it's 720p, not 1080.

18. Thank you
Apparently it was so simple that I couldn't figure it out. It is not organized properly for a highly complex mind like mine. Heh.
