In another lifetime, I designed woodworking projects for
various magazines. Today, I had a great surprise. I was looking for a piece of calliope music on You Tube, for no particular reason. I found this video:

Some guy was playing a little homemade calliope. He build it from a project in a 1982 issue of Popular Mechanics a couple of years ago.

Odd thing is that I designed that project and wrote the Popular Mechanics article in that other lifetime. A guy just never knows what's going to turn up on the interwebs. Made my day, so I dropped the You Tube guy a message.

I then discovered that every issue of Popular Mechanics is on the internet, too, so I got to see that long-forgotten article again. How odd and wonderful.

Just another story that could not have happened without the internet.
