For a guy concerned about the American Diet, he sure has a lot of recipes in his book that require the use of bacon.
Not that there's anything wrong with that. Bacon is the king of awesome.

just wondering, because occasionally we use a little bacon in food because it has such a strong (and awesome) flavor, that it's not necessary to use a lot.
Just thinking that moderation in the use of bacon might be ok, if it's used sparingly for flavor, and not in large quantity.

It's not exactly healthy though. Possibly substantially less fatty however.
