1. not at all!
my vinyl collection is much larger than my cd collection, i always buy vinyl if i can, unless something is a cd-only release (which i could probably count on one hand how many times that has happened in the last two years)

I had been collecting LPs and 45s for a decade by the time CDs became big in the late 1980s.

5. Nope! I have a lot of vinyl. I don't want to tell you how much...

Yesterday I picked up a Duke Ellington album I have been looking for. I will burn a cd then put it on my album website.

7. Used to

I collected vinyl for decades, but sold off most of my LP collection (about 7500 LP's) ten years ago. Since then, I've grown the collection again to about 350 or so, but all of it is pre-'72, since that's when all the good stuff was out. Still have a lot of the must have stuff, though - Beatles butcher cover, etc.

I still have about 700 45's, including a lot of what those of us old enough remember as "picture sleeves."

CD's now number 1100+, and growing.

9. Haven't bought a CD in years.
In all total, I probably have fewer than 75. OTOH, I have at least 8,000 LP's. I used to work for a major record chain in the early 80's and also wrote for a local Boston fanzine (so I accumulated a lot of "freebies").

When I was working for the record chain, I remember the first CDs coming out (they were about 12 titles available and listed for $18.00 or so back then). I also attended an early demonstration of the first line of CD players; the sponsors introduced it by playing "Also Sprach Zarathustra"
(better known as the main theme for "2001:A Space Odyssey"). It was impressive... as it was meant to be.

My concern is that it will be harder to find a replacement turntable that's not marketed towards DJ's, "scratchers", or high-end audiophiles.
