A cowboy appeared before St. Peter at the Pearly Gates. 'Have you ever done anything of particular merit?' St. Peter asked.

'Well, I can think of one thing,' the cowboy offered. 'On a trip to the Black Hills out in South Dakota , I came upon a gang of bikers who were threatening a young woman. I directed them to leave her alone, but they wouldn't listen. So, I approached the largest and most tattooed biker and smacked him in the face, kicked his bike over, ripped out his nose ring, and threw it on the ground. I yelled, 'Now, back off or I'll kick the crap out of all of you!'

St. Peter was impressed, 'When did this happen?'

'Couple of minutes ago.'

1. I was on a "detectiving" adventure... trying to find friends from Tennessee...

...who had years before -- last I heard -- moved to Missouri. Got
to the last town I had heard about from them and found there was
a nuclear power plant in the area and knew he had done that sort
of construction before. GREAT lead for the morning (it being about
1 AM).

Went to the only bar in the area (these friends were VERY outgoing
and VERY distinctive-looking... they would be known).
.
No luck. Only bar was a backroom off a gas station -- and it was
just me and the bartender. She had never heard of 'em.

About to leave when these four Missouri boys saunter in. Short
hair, football jock types. BIG farm boys -- me with my long hair
and beard and Pennsylvania tags on my car.

OH SHIT!!!! They ALL have two names (Joe-Bob, Billy-Ray, etc.)

Turned out we had a ROLLICKIN' GOOD TIME -- so good the bartender
kept us there 'til about 4 AM.

Looking back... I am SO glad that they were such reasonable fellas
that I didn't have to kick all their asses.

2. I have seen stuff like that also.

I was at the bus stop a few years back, and there was a group of guys in there 20s, and one of them was going off on some smaller kid. And some lady, must have been in her 60s, grabbed a shopping cart and got in front of the guy backed in the corner. It was really incredible.

Seen a few things like that, saw a public defendant, little short guy, and he broke up a fight between one of his old clients, and a big guy, just got between the two of them, all because he knew the one guy would end up going to jail, even if he was in the right in that situation.




I just got that joke. LOL.


My observations have been people are more good then bad.
