I started to watch Cagney and Lacey on Netflix.
Also watching Kate an Allie.

I really liked both shows.

1. Thanks to several DUers, I started my Netflix trial this weekend. I'm hooked!
We're going to force our daughters to watch The Incredible Hulk series (some of it, anyway), and Fraggle Rock, and the Ken Burns Civil War series is on there...and that's just the stuff you can watch instantly! I'm so happy that the obnoxious Wii game system we got the girls for Christmas will actually help us now--we can stream the movies to the TV. I cannot believe all this is just $10 a month. This beats $50 cable any old day.

2. So much to watch and so little time.
The instant view is the best.

Have fun this weekend.

3. I started one of those threads
I've always been amazed that cable TV can have so many channels with NOTHING worth watching. We have extended basic, but when we're at other people's houses and have the opportunity to use full cable or satellite offerings, there's STILL nothing on that I want to see! Literally hundreds of channels, and no worthwhile programming.

A few years ago I was talking with my uncle about why I hate TV so much. There's a lot of good programming, but I said that I only want to watch the shows I like, and I want them to play on MY shedule, when I'm in the mood for them. He laughed like I was insane.

I don't understand why cable providers can't provide this kind of thing.

Here's a handy link for you...

4. I'd be curious if they had the short-lived Max Headroom series.
Not the talk show, but the sci-fi one that had a Bladerunner feel.

5. This one?
Max Headroom: The Complete Series
(1987) NR
This quirky 1980s sci-fi series boldly follows computer-generated personality Max Headroom into the near future, where he and cohorts Edison Carter and Theora Jones confront lethal TV ads and other perils of a brave new (media-saturated) world. As self-serving techno-elites gain more and more control over society, Max and others -- including off-the-grid citizens called "blanks" -- find ways to resist their nefarious power.

Yes, they have that--as discs, not as a streaming choice.

6. Yes, that one!
I thought that was so cool when it came out, but from what I heard it was also very expensive to produce.

7. I LOVED that show
we used to call it Gag Me and Lace Me...I had a helluva crush on Sharon Gless.

Didn't even know Netlix had it. Thanks for the tip.

8. Instant view has so many tv shows to watch, all the seasons..
It is really worth the $8.99 a month.

9. I found a series you might like, texanwitch...
Wire In the Blood. Third season starts to get a little gorier, but it's still good.

10. I have watched a few of the episodes on BBC a few years ago.
I like cop shows if there is a good story behind it.

If I remember right the guy goes after serial killers.

12. here's one for you
"Dead Like Me." Absolutely freaking hilarious.

Your sense of humor must be offbeat, however.

We stream our Netflix into the TV via the Roku and watch it at dinner or lunch time.

13. I love Dead Like Me.
Even the dead have to work.

I wish the show would have lasted longer.
