And it was the job I wanted too: higher salary, more room for advancement, shorter commute, less union busting....

I also get to teach in a National Historic Register building. A beautiful Art Deco structure from 1929.

it's two years newer than Central High. I believe it houses more students as well.

11. I know... I've got a good friend who has not been as fortunate

he's an accountant with a Master's degree - can't seem to get hired anywhere in the Little Rock metro area.

12. It's tough out there. But this is another myth busted I guess.

I remember a few years ago we were being told that accounting was one of the fields that would grow. Retrain for those jobs. Hope things change soon for him and so many others.

but my dad worked in Little Rock (talk about a commute) - so I've always loved the place.
