5. My cat
Has one of those towers with a u shaped top. He sleeps in the middle with his but hanging out the back and his head falling out the front. Sort of like below but with his head hanging down. It looks ridiculously uncomfortable.

10. beret
Your cat looks French--with a beret that has a special cutout for a triangle-shaped ear.

12. Aww!
And I bet his neck wasn't sore when he woke up, either.

Me, I'd be crippled for days.

4. My cats sleep like that sometimes
On the edge of the bed. Sometimes I wonder if my cats really have bones at all--they act like they are big fuzzy bowls of jelly...:)

7. Don't know if I'm um misremembering or not...
.
.
.
.
...but I seem to remember reading that cats have an
extra thoracic and two extra lumbar vertebrae (compared
to us) -- this allows them sleep while (for example)
formfitting to a staircase.

Anybody know?

9. here ya go
ats have 7 cervical vertebrae like almost all mammals, 13 thoracic vertebrae (humans have 12), 7 lumbar vertebrae (humans have 5), 3 sacral vertebrae like most mammals (humans have 5 because of their bipedal posture), and a variable number of caudal vertebrae in the tail (humans retain 3 to 5 caudal vertebrae, fused into an internal coccyx).<48> The extra lumbar and thoracic vertebrae account for the cat's spinal mobility and flexibility. Attached to the spine are 13 ribs, the shoulder, and the pelvis.<49> Unlike human arms, cat forelimbs are attached to the shoulder by free-floating clavicle bones, which allow them to pass their body through any space into which they can fit their heads.<50>
