Who's trying to sell their house and how is it going?
Edited on Tue Jul-27-10 08:32 AM by Stoic
Mine has been on the market since March and I've already dropped the price about 5 times. Still no offers. Even bad ones.

1. I've had my condo on the market since the beginning of May
I've only had one person look at it and he didn't make an offer.

2. With so many foreclosures now and in the works
It's hard to sell anything today but houses especially, unless you're pricing it rock bottom.

Once we bailed out the big banks they quit lending to anyone but Warren Buffet types so it's so much harder to get a loan than at anytime in the last 10 years at least. That might have something to do with it as well.

3. And ever since the April 30 deadline for the $6500/8000 homebuyer tax credit
Edited on Tue Jul-27-10 11:14 AM by Mr. Ected
The number of contract offers on homes has plummeted significantly.

That may have been the only thing keeping buyers in the market; lenders ain't loaning.

4. We have buyers for ours
But they are only renting it out at the moment because their application for the loan was denied and they have to wait until nest spring to try again.

5. Houses are selling--not everything--here in Chapel Hill.
A house we rented for a year (after ours burned down) went on the market this spring.
It's walking distance to campus, but needs work--especially the kitchen and bathrooms need updating.
No garage or carport. Sold recently--but until it closes and records won't know for how much.

6. House has been on the market since Jan of 2008
no takers, dropped the price twice. We got renters in, and they want to buy the house, but they are trying to sell their house...when their home is sold, they will buy ours, but its been a very long journey.

7. Looking to buy one - amazing how many total pieces of crap there are where I live
I was warned this would suck, but not strongly enough.

8. Yikes, I'm sorry
We sold our old house in March. It went really quickly but I don't know what metro area you're in. The house behind our new one has been on the market since November. It's so random.
It sucks but there is a buyer out there.
