What gas company is the least evil?

Are there any gas companies that have a decent record regarding oil spills? Obviously BP and Shell have terrible records. What gas station should I support? Anyone know where Costco gets their gas from?

not sure about spills, but they're owned by the Venezuelan government (cue Chavez thread in 3... 2... 1...) and have donated fuel to low-income families during the winter.
