What should I make for dinner? |
|
I know, it's a dumb thing to ask and I've never posted this kind of question before. But, I seem to make the same stuff all the time. Any suggestions? Thinking of grilling.

This time of year grilled vegetables and fruit can be a nice change of pace. Fat slices of zucchini or summer squash, red onion, eggplant, whole tomatoes, corn, you name it.
Halved, pitted peaches or nectarines are also good on the grill.
If you eat meat/fish, combine the fruit with grilled fish or pork. Combine the vegetables with chicken, beef, pork.

- a beef shish-ka-bob, with fresh 'shrooms, cherry tomatoes, bell pepper chunks, and nice sized chunks of decent beef
- swordfish or salmon
- lobster
- jumbo shrimp or prawns
- spatchcock a whole cornish game hen, or small chicken and grill that
- burgers, but mix one part bottled bbq sauce and one part hoisin sauce, add a tablespoon or two of sesame oil, and a shot of ginger, and serve that over the burger instead of whatever you usually have
- one to one and one half inch thick pork chops, using the same sauce above, or just bbq sauce

3. Something different? How about shrimp and lamb skewers with sides of grilled eggplant and leeks? |
|
You maybe haven't done that before.
And for desert, grill some peach halves.

My daughter doesn't eat red meat, so lamb is out.

6. Grill strips of zuchinni, red pepper, the white part of a fennel bulb, portobello mushrooms, |
|
and put them in a vegetable lasagna. Use a mixture of Havarti/white cheddar/mozzarella as the cheese mixture. Sprinkle dried tarragon on every layer liberally. Tastes really good.
