Friday evening music: Ramones live on Kirshner's Rock Concert, 1977 -
on my birthday!...Kirshner has no idea who they are, and the many in the audience seem a bit...stunned after the show, which ends with one of my favorites, (I Wanna) Shock Treatment... very good sound, and a great performance, 5 or 6 songs in all...

Hope all you old musicians like this one - Johnny was just great.

Enjoy.

1. I remember seeing that. I also remember seeing The New York Dolls...
on Rock Concert a few years earlier. Of course, Monday morning my classmates were raving about fucking Uriah Heep's performance on the same episode. They didn't get the Dolls. Their loss.

3. I used to love Don's introductions...
which were always a vartation on
"My good friend Murray Horowitz at SoandSo Records, recently told me about..."

4. True.
I always loved Paul Shaffer's impression of him on SNL when they did DK Rock Concert skits. It was hard to tell the difference from the original.
