1. Dissuade him from joining the LDS, but if you can't stop him,
ask him to do it as part of a group, with one person remaining sober and sane to keep an eye on things. I've never joined the LDS, but I know people who have and it doesn't seem to have harmed them on a permanent basis. They did see some really weird things and talked and acted like crazy people for a while, but it eventually wore off.

7. I have NEVER DONE LDS - I am afraid it will hurt my brain-but I know people
who have. They tell me about all sorts of delusionas things they see: invisible tablets and magic glasses, strange beings appearing, people moving to uninhabited desert regions, and living in unusual family groups. Some people report very odd thinking after experiencing LDS - immortality, living on strange planets, etc.

Many of them wear unusual underwear.
