I was not familiar with this band at all. I had heard the name Jack White and knew that he was a guitarist. Other than that I knew nothing.
I watched an HBO special on the White Stripes documenting their tour of Canada. WOW!
I can't stop thinking about this band. They are incredibly original and so talented.
Is the girl drummer married to Jack or are they brother and sister?
I love the power of this band and even their lighter stuff.
At the end of the film, Jack and the girl are sitting at a piano. Jack is playing a very beautiful piece. The girl just sits next to him rocking back and forth to the music. As the song continues, you start to notice that the girl is crying. As the song ends, Jack holds her on the piano bench. It was very moving.
Who are these people?????
I'm 57 years old and I love these people.

Jack White's really talented, and he has good taste in music and musical style :) I like the White Stripes, he also does side projects but I don't like them as much...props for trying though. He was in a special, I forget what it's called, but it's him, Jimmy Page and The Edge from U2. Interesting stuff. If I remember right, Meg White is his ex-wife but they have a professional relationship.

Back in 2003, on my honeymoon in Maui...I remember thinking who the "hell is this", "wow", and "they sounded like nothing else playing on the radio"...good memories :)
