I've drawn at least 5 political cartoons. One of them shows our country as the Titanic splitting tn half and sinking. And guess who's the iceburg!..(Drum roll please)... Presedent Bush! Another cartoon showed bush having a nose so long that they were lanching a rocket off his nose! Another showed bush giving an Iraq speech, and then a reporter says to him,"tell us your plan to take care of america" Then, scrathing his head he says, "Who's America?" The last one I'm gonna tell you shows a huge korean bullet and a tiny dot sized Iraq bullet. Bush and another guy watch the bullets pass, and then the other guy says to Bush, "And you thought Iraq was a threat!" (I have more cartoons)

6. Try your hand at this one, Shrubhater: |
|
This idea isn't original with me, though; I swiped it from an old Beetle Bailey cartoon.
A tiny little George W. Bush, complete with chimpy smirking upper lip and jughandle ears, is riding one of those coin-operated rides you see outside of supermarkets. This ride looks like one of those old 1950's bad science-fiction movie rockets. On the cabinet that houses the machinery are a moon, a star, and the words: "To The Moon!" W. is happily bouncing up and down on the ride. Standing around are several Secret Service agents, all black suits and sunglasses, some talking into their wrists. Next to the ride is Dick Cheney with a pained look on his face. One of the SS agents leans over to Cheney and says: "Sir?......"
Cheney replies: "It won't be long now, he's running out of quarters."
Can you draw that? Can we see it when you're done?

Everyone, Shrubhater is my almost 13-year-old son, Chris, the one I've told you all so much about this past year of being on DU! He's lurked for awhile, and finally started posting on Sunday. Now I can't get him away from the damned computer and DU! Skinner, you've created ANOTHER monster DU addiction!
And he has a sketchbook filled with some really neat political cartoons, I don't know how he keeps coming up with all of these ideas.

11. I'm sure you will, Dean, |
|
and I know he'll really like you! Then you can see his political cartoon sketchbook in person. He drew some really good ones on the bus to and from the D.C. March in October.

how do I post art on this website? Then you can see the cartoon when I'm done, along with the others I've done.
I've gotta go to bed now, so I'll check back tomorrow!

13. Do you have a scanner? |
|
If so, the first thing you'll need to do is scan the cartoons onto your hard drive. Once you take care of that, we can cover how to post your stuff to DU.
