Ladies - have you had your eyeliner tattooed on? How much did it cost. Was it worth it? |
|
I'm considering having this done. I know it would be sore and swollen for a while, but is it otherwise worth it?

14. Same here but only after texting my BFF to let her know I'm going to do it* |
|
. . . . . . . *I kid. I don't wear eyeliner and I can barely text sitting on my stationary couch. I would never, ever, text while driving. Nor would I have eyeliner tatooed anywhere.

2. haven't done it -- but I'd never get a tattoo, either, so I'm |
|
probably not going to help you out here any.
I'd be very careful, though, b/c your eyes are priceless. And you may, one day, get tired of having it on, or think it looks too harsh. I usually wear eyeliner, but some days it just seems like too much emphasis, or too harsh, I guess. Especially in the summer.

3. A friend had it done years and years ago |
|
She loved it and it looked great. I have no idea what is cost, but I do recall that it was reasonable.

6. I worked with a woman who had much of her makeup tattooed on |
|
She had permanent eyeliner, eyebrows, lipstick and lipliner. She was very happy with it, and I believe she said she went to a place south of Seattle, and the techs were Asian, maybe Filipino, not sure now. She was very happy with it, she had a high maintenance look though. I met another woman who had lip liner tattooed on and she was sorry she did, it was sort of clownish looking. If you decide to try it, go to the best you can afford and go subtle. I am sorry, I don't actually know the cost, but I gather it is not prohibitive. Good luck.

7. You could get a set of eyes tattooed on your chest |
|
That way men could make "eye contact" when they spoke to you. ;)

I don't wear much makeup in the first place, but I know a couple of women who have had very thin, delicate lines tattooed on their upper lids. It's surprisingly attractive, not even noticeable at first, and of course if you're into make up you can augment it in any way you like.

9. I saw a local TV story here (Philadelphia).. |
|
about a pretty young woman, 18, I think, with cerebral palsy. She had to have her older sister apply her eye makeup for her. So she went to a makeup tattoo artist and had her eyes lined. She looked adorable and her pleasure in the whole thing was very sweet and moving. Her mother was very pleased too, and decided to get it done for herself. This report said that the work has to be retouched from time to time. It sounds like a great idea, but of course, it must be done carefully by an expert.

24. Definitely! I work in a retirement community and |
|
these ladies that continue to wear makeup look really kinda freakish. Eye lid skin gets really loose as you age. A permanent tattoo would look horrible long before that point, though.
To anyone who thinks this might be a good idea, I highly recommend that it is NOT. :scared:

Loooooove it! Would do it again. I only had my upper lids done and only from the center to the edge. I had a consultation where we chose my color. Very important to do. Colors look different on everyone. I went with a dark purple (my eyes are green). I haven't had to wear eyeliner since.
I paid $250. I opted not to have the nerve block and just went with a topical anesthesia. I bruise very easily, so my lids were bruised for about 5 days (not a big deal for me. I worked at home the first day and by the third day I could wear concealor.) Be sure to use the antibiotic as directed. also, get little ice packs for your eyes. I kept my eyes iced for several hours the day of the procedure.
I went to a woman whose worked I admired on another friend, so I was very comfortable with her. She tattooed about 5 seconds at a time, which was about all I could handle anyway, so the procedure took about 30 minutes.
Good luck!

Due to medical issues, makeup application could get difficult for me. This might be a solution. Let us know how it goes. I'm very interested.

For the past couple of years I've had really bad dry skin just under my eyes, and I just can't seem to get rid of it, but it is better when I don't apply makeup every day. That might help me out a great deal. Hmmm...
