Holy shit, these mosquito bites are itchy as hell. |
|
Why are there mosquitoes in October in Toronto?
And how do I make these bites itch less?

Mosquitoes live everywhere...or at least it seems that way!
Calamine lotion will help the itch.
Better yet is to avoid getting them in the first place...
There are things to put on your skin to keep the nasty buggers from biting you, but I can't remember their names.
Feel better!

2. there are things you can do |
|
In a pinch, a dab of toothpaste will make a bite stop itching. Or an ice cube.
The most important thing is to stop scratching them. That just makes it worse. And when you can, go to a store and buy aloe vera gel, or some other kind of anti-itch cream.

4. Aloe plants grow very well inside with just window light. Pinch off an end and squeeze. |

There's nothing better. That's particularly true for bee stings.

is the active ingredient. There's probably some of that in the cleaning supply area now. And yes it works very well, good for fire ant bites too.

douse the bites with straight amonia... takes the itch away but you may have to keep doing it periodically till the bites heal.

10. When all those other remedies don't work |
|
very well for me, plus I can swell pretty bad - I take a claritin. Usually then the itch subsides enough I can ignore it. When the claritin wears off, usually because I haven't scratched the bite, I don't notice it after that. Although once in awhile, you'll brush up against something and have to start the process all over again! I hate mosquito bites.
