"All Along The Watchtower". The Hendrix cover. No chance of that, though. My parents idea of funky was The Carpenters.

Head cheese and green squash. My poor mother was experimenting. Don't know why; when she stuck to traditional Southern cuisine, she created miracles. When she tried some other type of cooking, it was almost always a nightmare...

Yes. I burgled money from my Dad nearly every day of the 8th Grade. The lunchroom at my school made pizza that was quite good, and I always hooked enough scratch from my Dad's change container to pay for an extra slice.

4) What brings you peace?

Lots of things. True peace, for starters. We've never experienced it in this world, but I know it would be a sublime feeling. A good book and a comfortable chair after a relaxing hot shower. Wagner's "Forest Murmurs".

5) I think we are going to keep both the House and the Senate..Am I wrong?

I hope you're right, old buddy. But who can say? Everyone is predicting a blow-out for the repukes; and even though I think that's just right-wing media hype to get the knuckle-draggers to the polls, I'm not sanguine about our chances of holding BOTH Houses. If we lose one, I hope it's the Senate. If we lose the House, the 'pukes will impeach President Obama...

5.)Yeah, probably. The Senate is out of reach for the GOP thanks to some of the idiots the Tea Party got onto ballots nationwide. We're screwed on the House...kinda, at least. It's the Blue Dogs and Conservadems that are lining up to be routed, with few liberal outliers (like Alan Grayson) in very purple or red districts. As a result, we may be better positioned regarding 2012 and 2014 Congressional elections for this purge cycle...it's looking like it'll be the night of the long anti-moderate knifes. We may wake up on Nov. 3rd to discover both parties have decisively moved away from the middle.

I would imagine that you are sadly wrong. I think we will lose a Dem Senator in Arkansas, if polls are right we will have the biggest gigantic dumbass conservative that ever existed (maybe anyway) going to the Senate.

I'm not as up to date on house races but I know that the Repigs have done a wack job on us regarding some good things by spending money to give disinformation in the media.
Not to mention that the myths of: "Obama is Muslim"; "Obama is the antichrist", are alive and well in moronvilles across the country. At least I know an awful lot of people who really think these things. Of course they would never vote for a Dem anyway due to abortion despite the fact that the Repigs never have really done anything to settle the matter because it makes such an emotional issue when they need it.
This time its healthcare, and socialism-- the idea that spending money on people is a better idea than spending it on corporations=socialism to the average idiot.
