Woman Challenges Law After Arrest For Receiving Oral Sex In Car
<snip>

NEWPORT NEWS - A Newport News woman charged with a felony for receiving oral sex in a car is challenging a state law that prohibits certain types of sex between consenting adults.

A police officer says he found the 21-year-old woman in a parked car receiving oral sex from a man about 3 a.m. Jan. 29. Both were charged with a felony under the statute for crimes against nature.

The woman's attorney is arguing that the charge is unconstitutional because the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in a Texas case that states can't pass laws that restrict the private sex lives of consenting adults.

Virginia's statute on crimes against nature says people can't have oral or anal sex, whether homosexual or heterosexual. But the law doesn't specify whether the sex is illegal in public or in private.

5. Va. sodomy laws-only missionary position for procreation is legal
I'm not kidding you. They recently refused to change it in spite of the Texas ruling.

Anything else in public OR IN PRIVATE is illegal. Every teenager learns this when they are coming to that age around here, not as warning but because it is such a big joke.

Breaking the law for 21 years.:9

3. Its illegal to sell vibrators in Texas
if they are intended to sexually stimulate. Now, you can use that 8" dildo to help relax those sore muscles and the state of Texas is happy.

6. I thought it was Alabama...maybe both..
...i somehow remember Alabama authorities busting some poor woman after a toy party for some suburban women, and it involved receiving toys via the mail? or did I hallucinate this?
In any case, it's always encouraging to see law enforcement wisely spending its valuable time on projects like this.

I don't know about Alabama, but I can assure you that is the law in TX.

4. I can't believe that the cop that caught them even bothered.........
to write them up for the infraction after determining that they were both of legal age.

To me, it sounds like the citation was the act of a really frustrated, powerless little troll who freaked out when he got the chance to exert some power over other people.

11. The law prohibiting oral sex was repealed in VA
at least a year ago.

Look out folks...The sex police are coming. They're going to put monitors in every room of every house just to make sure nobody has sex that isn't government approved.

13. In related news
After a woman went into an emergency room to have a bottle of shampoo removed from her nether region (she claims she slipped in the shower and fell on it, forcing it inside of her) the police put out an APB for a man foaming at the mouth

:-)

17. Good for her!
I'd bet laws like this live on because 99% of the people who are charged with them are too embarrassed to fight.

I'll admit I'd think twice before heading into a courtroom where I knew they'd all be talking about me getting oral sex in a car. :D
