Enough to stick to the grass and our vehicles. It'll be gone by daylight, but what an awful thing to wake up to! I'm not ready for this yet. x(

It's snowing.
I said, 'you're kidding?' He said no.
I looked outside and saw nothing. I asked him where it was snowing. He looked up from the game he was playing and said, 'in the game'.
I was relieved, but still wanted to smack him.

The only time I don't mind hearing those 2 words out of someone's mouth is at Christmas... something about that holiday makes snow seem quaint. After that...

4. I wish it was rare here |

I'd probably feel the same as you if it was. I wouldn't mind if I didn't have to go anywhere, but alas, that will never happen up here. Life goes on as usual even if we get 20 inches dumped on us... can't be late for work or whatever. I cringe at the thought of that time of year coming around again.
Sorry. Rant over. :-) And I agree, it can be pretty at times.

6. I was raised in Connecticut and Michigan, and although the climate in Tucson is sublime (usually)... |

. . . . . . . . . . . ...I really sometimes miss harsh winters. . . . . . . I've romanticized it a little bit in my head, but not much. Crackling fires, hot chocolate, snowmen, the crunch under your feet, the nip at the nose, the stomping of the feet in the foyer and the ENORMOUS appreciation of the re-discovered warmth indoors, HOPING HOPING HOPING that the pets will gather and cuddle in your bed at night... . . Holding someone special and looking out at the moonlight on the snow. . . . . . . . . OK, OK... maybe more than just a LITTLE bit. . . .
