Now I look at some of their old movies and wonder why I thought they were so hysterical. They still make me laugh, but I'm not falling on the floor. Maybe if I was still smoking like I used to...

6. I saw them perform, back in the day...
...Circle Star Theater, San Carlos. There was no getting away from their stuff...it was like Mad Magazine. It was there, they were there, some of it was funny, some of it was stupid, and...like Mad...they made truckloads of money.

I like their movies "Cheech & Chong's Next Movie" (especially Paul "Pee We Herman" Rubens' role) and "Things Are Tough All Over." Their other movies, not so much.

18. Don't know about Chong, but my nickname from the time I was 12 in '65 was "Cheech".
Actually it was Chi Chi but that quickly got shortened to Cheech. In the neighborhood I grew up in you have to do something when there are half a dozen guys named Steve.

I always had big plans for it, but never used it. It's now in the "pile of stuff" we are saving to pass down to our kids (we have the Sgt. Pepper picture disc, too).
