Wow..another new DU baby
DU didn't have a congrats thread on this new addition to our family (I think) so we need a new thread.

Congrats on your new baby.

11. congratulations from another father !

Always good to know life goes on, isn't it

My son Benjamin was born three weeks ago at this time. Reading DU wile caring to his needs has become routine now

On edit : I understand about the going crazy part, if you need any tips let me know !

May our sons and daughters grow up with a voice of their own, with the courage to speak out and in a world were dissent is welcomed

1. Huzzah for father/motherhood!!!
Edited on Thu Aug-14-03 03:46 PM by BigMcLargehuge
Congratulations from a father of a two year old with another on the way. I hope everything with the delivery went well, and that you adjust to the new sleeping patterns (it isn't too hard if you don't fight it).

Cherish every single minute because a baby is like a Time Accelerator. You'll blink and he'll be 2, then 12, then 18.

5. Limitless energy, patience, and love.
He's amazing, absolutely amazing. Thankfully I telecommute so I'm always here with him and the Mrs is a stay-home Mom.

Kind of explains the second pregnacy now that I think about it...

11. yep in the home office
I too worked an hour away, but the economy went so far south so fast my company closed the New England offices (and fired nearly everyone) the rest of us were kept on in work-at-home fashion.

It is great :)

7. if we could all look at the world
with children's eyes more often, it would be a better place.

Fixing computers huh your kid :-) he looks cute indeed - I have fun imagining what kind of tech my son will get to know that I won't be able to follow anymore...

Btw the delivery : cesarean section after 22 hours of labor, so "well" is not the word that comes to mind - but when we heard his first cry we knew what we did it for.

8. Mrs. Mclargehuge was induced 8 days late
though we didn't have to go through the Caesarean procedure, it was a harrowing 24 hours with her on Pitosin. Every day I thank the gods that I'm a man and will never have to endure that.

14. tell me about inducing
they just kept turning up the inducing agent with my wife, because we stayed at 5 cm forever. Then shifts change, someone else feels and finds out our son was a "stargazer", face up insted of down, and cannot be born like that. With all the inducing though, he was so stuck they had to push with 2 people to get him out...

Man I still feel like hitting those people ... the day before at the gyne, the echo could've revealed this...

2. Benjamin is my son's name
I swore no one would be allowd to call him Benny because it sounded like a name for a really dumb Italian Gangster type "Benny *brains* Buttafucco"..... but guess who started calling the little red haired angel Benny? Yup, me
