Poll question: Do you set your phone to do an alert sound when you get email? |
|
I've had this happen with two older people now where I send them an email in the middle of the night, and in the most recent case, I got a response from my boss's blackberry at 6 am, and in the previous case, a guy was telling someone else I ''woke him up in the middle of the night with an email.''
Do you forward all your email to your phone and have an audible alert set?
If so, does it annoy you if someone emails you in the middle of the night?

then I dont get any interruptions after I go to sleep. When I wake up, I turn it back on and see what I've missed. On many nights I've fallen asleep playing solitaire or some other game on the phone

I do have a blackberry and I get all my email sent to it. But I get over 200 emails a day (more during campaign season) and it would drive me crazy if it alerted me each time. It does blink when I have an email, missed call, text, or tweet to me though.
I do get alerts for incoming texts.
