If you can't dance or tap your feet to this, you are dead from the feet up.

In other words, a zombie. :smoke:

2. The first time I saw that little under-lip mustache of Gregg's...
.

.
...I thought it was one of the worst burn scars I'd ever seen.

.
People used to tell us that they could hear the Allman Brothers as one of
my band's influences.

Talk about an ego-booster.

5. A high compliment, indeed.

I can only imagine how many musicians they have influenced to varying degrees...

But I think we can all agree that they were truly original.

4. That was filmed the same year I saw them perform live for the first time.

It was at Royals Stadium in Kansas City. 55,000 fans. Marshall Tucker was supposed to open for them, but the lead guitarist broke his arm earlier that week, so Black Oak Arkansas opened for the Allman Brothers, instead. A most forgettable opening act, but the Allman Brothers band made it a magical night. Wish I could have seen them when Duane was alive.

On edit, I looked pretty young, myself, but my hair wasn't quite as long as Greg's. Just as blonde, though.

:wow: :woohoo:

8. Thanks for sharing. I love Wolfgang's vault and have a lot of music from there.
Including the early Allman Brothers concerts.
