Not so much for my enjoyment, but the cats and the bunnies certainly enjoy the ambience of being outdoors.
I guess I should really get to it and take things down, since the kid who decorated the tree skipped out and went back to college. Smart kid, huh?

Got tired of lugging the tree up and down so I will unplug it around Valentine's Day.

I am not at home.
The indoor stuff and outdoor stuff will stay up until the end of the month.
No rush.

13. Our FIRST tree fell over on Christmas Eve. Second one's still standing. |
|
The guys who set up the tree broke my wonderful tree stand and replaced it with one that really wasn't very good. So...all lit up and decorated, the tree, all 10 feet of it, started to list on Christmas Eve, and when we tried to wire it to keep it up....well...it went down like the Titanic. My darling (grownup) son and daughter raced out and bought a tree at the last place open--a little one , and very sweet, which they decorated. It's still up. The Titanic is lying naked on the porch. We'll cart them both off to the recycle center tomorrow. It was a really good Christmas. (No, really!)

Started to strip it this morning, phone rang, neighbor knocked and I just never got back to it. Gotta kick my hiney into action, the about to be 14 year old wants a slumber party. I still quiver about last year's soda chugging, popcorn throwing, runway walking in everything from three closets til three am gig. I'm haunted by the endless sugar induced giggling.
