They wont correct what they should becuase they are opposite.
They litterally think that being good, or thinking doing things for what most think of as better reasons, is bad.
They think that if you should have something you should be able to take it from them.
They think becuase they have some things, they must be right, and since many got those things doing worse, they think that being worse is what people are suppose to do.
Literally you have to decide to be like them, and then take from them, for them to think you should have what is yours.
That is why they wont learn, and why they wont correct what they should.
They literally think anyone thinking they should try to do better, is thinking in self rightousness and is not taking the grace God offers in there view.
They think that existence is suppose to be evil, and that there is no justice.
So what can be done, as thought years ago, you either choose to be like them, the main goal of their actions and thoughts, or you do not, and do not force them to do what they should.
It is the same exact quandry that been around for years, what can be done. Every time you show them something they see it backwards. They have to, otherwise they would have to do what they should do. What they don't want to think they should do.
Side note, there is a team delusion. There are groups that say they are on 'your team' then they do nothing of what they should do if that was true, they say that to try and get people to work for them. It is the same take if you can concept.
So a song for people that think in those ways, and those that think it is a game or about winning.

Oh and Keith, the comment in the Star Trek episode you mentioned, about things having to be horrible if their is a war, is also the argument against civility when it is ignored and many are harmed quietly unnoticed.
Although as you stated, it is also about things being seen for what they are.
