I quit smoking in Sept...
but now I'm addicted to something else..

Pretzel Rods were a great aid, but now I have to have them in the house. Better than cigarettes. Everyone in the house seems addicted to them. These are really the only "snacks" we have. Not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing.

well, it's better than smoking.

switch to raw, unsalted sunflower seeds.....oils go bad in nuts when they are roasted.
that would help with the munchies and would be better for you...

or any kind of raw, unsalted nut

congratulations on not smoking. keep it up and you can call yourself a non-smoker. :)

3. Thanks for the advice..
I also used grapes that I kept in the freezer. They're so expensive right now, or else I'd only eat them.

2. My dear one_voice!
It's great that you've stopped smoking!

Congrats!

OTOH, these might lead to some weight gain...so be careful...

So, if you've gained some unwanted pounds, you might want to cut back on these. Try some healthier snacks...

4. Thanks Ms. Peggy...
I've also started working out again. I did gain a few pounds but figured I would so I didn't stress too much over that. These are really the only "bad" things I eat, and I break two into a bunch of pieces and make them last me for the day.

Since my husbands heart attack (Oct) we've changed the way we eat and both of us are working out on a regular basis. I feel so much better since I quit and started working out again.

5. Oh, good for you!
Those are great things for you to be doing!

I know I always feel much better, sleep better, and have more energy when I work out!

Keep up the great work!

6. Good for you. Smoking is one hard habit to break. Watch that you don't get addicted to certain foods
though. And try straws. I used to chew on straws when I was just quit smoking.
