Would this dream exhilarate or terrify you?

I used to have this dream as a schoolchild except that I was swinging
out over the edge of a very high cliff. At the top of my swing forward,
the chains would snap and I would sail up and then plummet in fear.
I'd wake up shaking.
.
I haven't had one of those since childhood (that I remember).

2. She should have shoes on.
Doesn't she realize how dangerous it is to swing barefooted?

3. I used to have the "falling" dream scenario a lot. I would wake up just
at the moment when I "hit" -as though I landed onto my own bed.

4. That is the second post you have made about strings.
I have come to the conclusion that the thing on your back believes that the 'strings' are about swinging on a star.

That actually makes sense in tokra like metaphor, respect of free will without harassment, but in many cases there are problems of slavery by coercion or methods of control.

Those need to stop, that is not swinging on a star.

And I have a question, are you aware of what you post within those contexts. And within the context of multi thread posting, or are you unaware of the correlations in many of your posts?

Poker Face.

6. Despite his user name, I don't think MFM has a mean bone in his body.
He's a pretty straight forward kind of guy.

7. That dream would terrify me MFM
I'm glad for your sake you haven't had one for awhile.

This video is for you RT. The bit in your post about swinging on a star reminded me of this song and I now cannot get it out of my head... just thought I'd share the joy. ;-)

8. Considering how many flying dreams I've had,
that would probably be exhilarating :)

Here's something similar you can do in Japan:

9. My BIL grew up BIGTIME into ice skating.
.
.
.
Not hockey or competitive figure-skating or anything -- just lived to skate
as a kid.
.
.
He told me he had NEVER had a flying dream, good or bad -- but all his life
he has had this wonderful recurring dream that he was skating and skating
and skating on an endless sea of black ice.
.
.
You would have FELT the wonder of his dream if you had seen him describe it.

10. I think I can imagine some of what it's like for him
:)

Two of my last flying dreams were with gliders, one of them human-powered, but not with a propeller. Rather, it seemed to work like a fish in the air with a side-to-side tail motion to propel it as I basically did the same motion inside of it. It was a pretty lazy action, too, so not strenuous, just relaxing and peaceful.

The other one was like a combination hang-glider and WWII troop glider, also human-powered but only for getting into the air. Then it was just riding the thermals and flying around. I have never flown in a glider before, just a little Piper Cub a pilot friend of mine has, but it's been over 20 years since I went up in it.

Still, those two are the best flying dreams I've had, even over the Superman-style types. Unless it included moving through walls, doors and windows without opening them first :P

11. Flying and free-falling were 2 of my favorite childhood dreams.
Thinking back on it, the latter seems odd, as I had a HUGE fear of heights as a kid. But obviously, I didn't equate free-falling with that fear. For you, I bet it's less about literal "falling" and more about heading too fast towards something you didn't plan for or want in the first place, but now is inevitable, and you feel out of control. As kids, that happens to us all the time, we just get comfortable and then the world drops out from under us.

Sorry, I can't help it, I love to analyze dreams. I believe the literal symbols aren't as important as the way the dreamer perceives them, and that tinges of uneasiness in our conscious minds come at us full-force when we're asleep.

Fascinating, anyway.
