CMW leaves me the sweetest notes (Part VII)

This time they were text messages, because I was in Geneva (and at a very inopportune time: Ginger's teeth cleaning appointment) for three days.

CMW is an _excellent_ cat father who boiled chicken for The Wiley and Excellent Boy Cat Named Ginger in my absence, made reassuring cartoons for me, and somehow managed to survive the 24-hour cat fast that preceded Ginger's general anesthesia yesterday.

Tuesday, 9:21 p.m. Text message after I informed him that I'd checked the mattress at the hotel and found no sign of bed bugs.



Wednesday, 12:16 p.m., when I was in a meeting. Text message: How goes?



Wednesday, 8:15 p.m., four hours after Ginger's pre-anesthesia fast began
Text message: Boooh... :( He saw me eating, he hating. In for a longlong night. (It just wanted to autocorrect it to 'pingpong' night.)



Wednesday, 9:21 p.m., five hours after the fast (and the insistent meowing for food) began.
Text message: Egypt would be so much more fun...Love and miss you.

Text message: There's not even a world outside yet. Good morning!

I'm the most awesome, beloved, long-lost best cat mom on earth! Ginger said so last night as he plopped down across my eyes and nose to caress my scalp with his claws! :rofl:

The other good news is that Ginger's breath is now very nearly minty fresh! His cat farts, not so much. :D
