I like Martin Sheen.
A terrific actor, and an indefatigable liberal. He's taken 60 or 61 arrests for the team in his time as an activist.

Although he is opposed to abortion, he's also opposed to war and the death penalty as well. He has integrity.

And from 2001 to 2008, he was my President. :patriot:

2. I saw him at a "School of the Americas" protest a few years back.
He was off to the side a bit and I said "Mr. President?" and he turned and looked.

then i said "so that's not the first time you've heard that."

he chuckled. seemed like a nice enough guy. but what can you really tell in 5 seconds?

3. He frequently attends the church my mother goes to. When it
comes time for the "handshake of peace," people make a point to walk over to shake his hand. He's very nice to everyone.

So at least he's consistent in his beliefs.

But fuck him, anyway.

Edit: and his beliefs.

16. I liked his 'Wake Up America' comment in a speech years ago.
And his years of great work on so much advocacy, one of the best.

I remember that speech.

I like him also.

18. regarding his abortion stance, he opposes abortion personally but is still pro-choice, right?
I could be wrong, but I think that's what I remember from interviews with him in the past.

I appreciate him because I grew up Catholic, and his example (among others) helped me to understand that there were committed catholics who were also committed liberals.
