OK, Question for parents of teenage boys |
|
I have a friend who I haven't seen in years; they have a boy who is getting ready to turn 16 this month. I want to send him something...all I know about him is that he is a volunteer on the Fire Department, loves his truck and likes to go out to eat...
What should I send? I am thinking about a gift certificate for twenty bucks to a popular pizza restaurant---
Thoughts?

3. well, see...we thought of that. No way wife is sharing the liquor |
|
so, that's out. Wife needs the tobacco money for smokes, so that's out. The mustang ranch money? Hello! That's a fine "date night," so...that's out.
what else do you have?

6. You can't go wrong with teenage boys with food. My brothers used to eat half a box |
|
of cereal at one sitting.

14. gift card for gasoline. |
|
No shit. The biggest impediment for me in HS socially was not having money for gas. I could always make my own good time if I had gas money; it seems like something most people would think a weird gift, but I'd have rather had it than just about anything else I got in HS. (except laid.)
