Can't remember how it ends, but I think observing aliens are involed... Observing aliens in a twilight zone episode is a safe guess.

7. Yes. It was called "Nick of Time".


He becomes obsessed with the fortunes on the cards, which appear to all come true. His wife finally talks him into leaving just as another couple walks in and the cycle repeats.
