Scout - DO NOT OPEN THIS THREAD, IT IS ABOUT TOP CHEF!!
OK, y'all.

I'm really happy with the winner, though I ALWAYS feel so bad for whomever loses.

Anyone else??

1. Oh, good.
You're not dead. I was somewhat concerned, since we didn't hear anything after the cookies went into the oven.

:scared:

:)

6. heh. Hey, some guy - sorry 'bout the lack of feedback
we own a small business that FINALLY looks (knock on wood) like it's getting some life breathed into it these last few days - I have been busier than I ever imagined a person could (and that's saying something since I used to be a lawyer who regularly worked 15 hour days).

Cookies were great! I had some fancy pancake mix my mom had sent in a holiday care package that I substituted for flour, and I pressed the mix into a pan so they came out as oatmeal bars. I went light on the sugar and used some honey, so we've been having them for breakfast with coffee these last few days - turned out great (would have been better if we'd had some raisins or dates and some nuts, but in an emergency they did quite nicely).

:)

9. I'm glad they turned out well.
I was just pulling recipes off the inter tubes, so wasn't sure how any of them would actually be.

Also, yay for the business. :bounce: :toast:

2. I'm happy for him, though I was pulling for Antonia until last week

Richard's "character" sometimes gets on my nerves, but I was happy he got the win. Congrats to him :toast:

3. I felt like this whole season
was orchestrated for Richard to win. It just seemed like TC really wanted Richard to finally win. I'm glad he did, although it did sort of seem like Mike did a good job on the final challenge.

5. The right chef deserved to win.
I'm glad Richard won. I would've liked the finale more if it was between Angelo and Richard, but I digress.

Is it as good of a win as the other past winners? Remember, the chefs this season were all losers from their respective seasons. The other Top Chefs never lost. Richard has. It seems...not right. IDK.

7. a match up between Angelo and Richard would have been
fierce in the true sense of the word. I liked Antonia a lot, too, but she was out-chef'd. :(

8. Antonia lasted longer than she should have.
The final three should've been Dale T., Angelo, and Richard, with Richard coming out on top. Or Angelo. I like them both.

10. This was the best win ever, imo. I like a lot of the chefs, but I was pulling for Richard the most.
He deserved to win his own season, & to have won TC for the all-star season was justice. I was thrilled.

I like Mike's personality & think it would be a lot of fun working with him, but I like Richard's humble, low-key style, too. In fact, he's a little too self-depracating in explaining his dishes to the judges & that hurt him big-time in his season when he said at judges' table that he "choked"; I'm glad he learned from that.
